Metalcraft Mining Equipment Rebuilders, Inc. 25 years and still going strong  As written in Coal People Magazine This has been a special year for Metalcraft Mining Equipment Rebuilders, Inc., and its employees, as 2009 marks its 25th year of serving the mining industry. While the industry and even the times, as they say, have changed continually throughout those 25 years, Metalcraft's mission has not. The goal at Metalcraft continues to be "to provide the mining industry with outstanding service at competitive prices." Metalcraft's outstanding service begins with a sincere dedication and commitment to customers and employees, both of which are difficult to retain in uncertain economic times. Most of Metalcraft's customers have been doing business with the company throughout its existence. Metalcraft is also very pleased to have retained a substantial number of its employees for ten or more years. This commitment by Metalcraft and its employees has lead to the company's success in remanufacturing a variety of underground mining equipment. The company has remanufactured many shuttle cars, feeders, roof bolting machines, continuous miners, continuous haulage systems, scoops, and belt drives. Metalcraft is known in the industry primarily for complete machine remanufacturing. However, in order to further meet customer needs, the company has been heavily involved in component remanufacture as well for the past five years. Metalcraft's component remanufacturing capabilities include but are not limited to: wheel units, conveyor reducers, and continuous miner gathering pots and cutter-head gear cases. In addition to remanufacturing the cutter-head gear case, Metalcraft can also re-lace the cutter drums. The company has developed a rather unique method that allows the left, center and right drums to be laced simultaneously, ensuring the lacing pattern is correct and aligns perfectly across the entire drum surface. To complement its remanufacturing sector, the company also fabricates belt drives as well as several components. New component fabrication includes: roof bolting machine Approved Temporary Roof Support Systems and drill booms, and continuous miner gathering pans and conveyor booms. Other services offered by Metalcraft include: fabrication of new frames; reconditioning and repairing equipment to customer specifications; CNC cutting; and a variety of hydraulic, mechanical, welding and machine work.
